Bookings can be made up to one year in advance. Several regular clients plan annual vacations and book their dates well in advance to secure their reservation.
Yes, clean bedding is provided for your pets for each stay. The bedding is in excellent condition.
Yes, dishes for water and food are provided. Dishes are size appropriate for the size and breed of dog.
Dishes are washed after each meal.
Extra leashes are provided as back up should your pet’s leash not feel sufficient when walking them.
Sometimes dogs arrive with leashes that are frayed not long enough or not the right weight and size for the breed of their dog.
Some owners are new to having pups and it’s a trial and error thing in terms of getting the right equipment for the comfort of both the dog and the owners.Occasionally a small breed dog will have the clip on the collar snap off unexpectedly.
Collars are NOT provided. It is crucial that your pets’ collars be checked to ensure they’re completely intact before dropping your pup off.

No, toys are not provided. Unless they are puppies, most dogs don’t play with their toys when they bring them with them. Most owners want to make sure the pups have everything they’re used to having a home. The truth is that the pups are on vacation as well and don’t always play and have the same habits they do when they’re at home.
So often they don’t have any interest in playing with the toys like they may do at home.
Yes, if they’re not torn, damaged or frayed to avoid any possibility of choking hazards.
Kongs have the reputation of being indestructible and yet I’ve had the experience when taking care of dogs in their own home overnight where they have chewed them apart into small pieces. It’s a potential choking hazard and unsafe for your dog.Food for emergencies is provided should you not provide enough food for your pet.
Sometimes unexpected delays can occur when pet owners are traveling which can result in your pets staying longer than anticipated. Most people plan out the amount of food required in advance and may not have provided for an extra meal or two just in case.
Dry kibble and canned food are available for emergency. I will always contact you via text or email in advance to ask for your permission to provide that food to your pet.
If your pet eats fresh vegetables or fruit and runs out, I will provide the same type of vegetables and fruit without contacting you in advance.Yes! Because of my own excitement at watching and engaging with the pets I wanted to let their owners see how cute or silly they were in the absence of their owners.
It was driven by my passion for how magical an experience it is to experience the love and joy that dogs bring into the world.
Each of them is so unique in their personality. I wanted to reassure them how happy they were. Especially when they were playing with the other pups staying at the same time.
It’s now become standard practice to send photo’s and/or videos of their activity especially when I think they’re being exceptionally adorable!
No, the initial meet and greet is a complimentary visit.
Meet and greet consultations can be done in your home or in an outdoor setting that your pup is most comfortable with or familiar with.
Pets are usually more comfortable meeting someone new in their own environment.
I can tell through an in-depth conversation over the phone if the services we provide and the needs of your pet if it’s going to be a good fit. Quite often owners will forego a meet and greet because we’ve had such a comprehensive conversation and they’ve provided such a clear picture of their pets’ unique and individual needs and expectations.
Sometimes owners have had an intention to set up a meet and greet in advance of a booking and then time doesn’t allow for it to occur.
You’re welcome to send videos of your pets as part of an introduction to them. Zoom visits are always an option as well to make life easy for you.Yes, it’s critical for you to provide a very clear understanding of your pet’s reactive behavior. The triggers that causes the reactivity and what practices and methods calm your pet. Reactive dogs will not be boarded with other dogs so that they can feel safe, comfortable and at peace during their stay.
Yes, a deposit for one day’s stay is required prior to the initial drop off with the final payment due by email transfer or
payable in cash at the end of the visit when the pup is picked up.
A deposit in the amount of $ 100.00 is required for long-term stays. (1 week or longer). Deposits are payable by emailtransfer.
Deposits are non-refundable for last minute cancellation WITH THE EXCEPTION of any orders from the Provincial Health Ministry related to Covid which advises against travel either within the Province, across
Canada or outside of Canada.
Cancellations for less than two (2) weeks’ notice are non-refundable.
Payment for services is due at the end of the stay in full by email transfer or cash. Any deposits will be deducted from the total amount due.
There are additional cleaning fees for any accidents your pet has in the house on the carpeting.
There are NO additional fees should your pet get ill on the dog bedding or inside a crate for any unforeseen reason.
Yes, pick up and drop off services are available for an additional fee.
Yes, references from both current and previous pet clients are always available.
Yes, in some cases pet owners are new to the area and don’t have a vet for their pet care.
You are required to provide in writing (email is acceptable) emergency contact information such as your own regular vet, or emergency veterinarian hospital in which you’ve contacted them and left your contact information with them and method of payment should there be a need for their services.
Yes, Written emergency contact information is required. (email is acceptable).
We will administer topical ointments and oral supplements provided with clearly written instructions.
We will NOT administer medical injections of any sort.
We do not accept pets with diabetes that require insulin treatments.
